Great Beginnings

This year's Durham Bulls are off to a very strong start. They took three of four down in Lawrenceville, Georgia against the Gwinnett Braves and just swept four games from the Charlotte Knights.

About the only early worry we have is the health of the team. Pitcher Jamie Schultz went on the disabled list after his first appearance and last night's starting pitcher, Taylor Guerrieri, left the game with two outs in the 3rd. Outfielder Johnny Field is looking great, but he went on the disabled list earlier in the week.

Today the Gwinnett Braves come to town after winning three out of four against the Norfolk Tides (who are off to an awful 1-7 start). Very early days, but the two teams match up pretty well.
