Matchup: Durham Bulls vs. Gwinnett Braves

The Bulls haven't played the Atlanta Braves  Triple-A team since June 5 (the Bulls won) when the Bulls were in the middle of a six-game winning streak and the Braves were in what became a six-game losing streak. For a couple of moments in recent weeks,  the Braves have led in the South, but an eight-game losing streak a few weeks ago has hurt them. They did, however, recover with a seven-game win streak. So, it's fair to say they've been "streaky" lately.

At the moment they are 1½ back from the Bulls [standings]. The Braves and Bulls play each other 9 times (6 in Durham, 3 in Lawrenceville) between now and the end of the season.

Statistically, they are pretty awful. But the Bulls are worse. Have not tracked their roster turmoil, but assume it has been much like the Bulls.
