- Shawn Riggans has been optioned. I don’t exactly know what that means. At a minimum, I think it means he’s off Tampa Bay’s 40-man.
- James Houser has been released. That was partially to make room for reliever Joe Nelson being sent down from the Rays.
- Ray Sadler has been released. Probably to make room for Desmond Jennings.
